Your surround sound speaker system and
Dolby Digital DTS surround sound receiver are the
primary audio components of any complete home theater surround sound system.
But before you buy
any surround sound speakers or do any cutting, drilling, or
fishing speaker wire, you need to think through
and plan your surround sound speaker placement.
Even a basic 5.1 surround sound speaker system requires 5 speakers and a subwoofer.
(Larger rooms may be able to accommodate 6.1 or 7.1 channels, or even more.)
Plus, you'll also need a surround sound receiver.
And a big screen television.
