Especially if you are lucky enough to be building a brand new dedicated home theater room (instead of retro-fitting existing construction), you will want to consider going with all in-wall speakers. (Of course, you can also choose to mix and match in-walls with in-ceiling speakers from the same speaker brand and series and get comparable surround sound performance.)

By going with a perfectly matched package of seven in-wall speakers such as the JBL S326W in-wall home theater speaker 7 pack pictured to the right, or the Inwall Tech in-wall LCR/MTM speaker 7 pack pictured below, and adding at least one in-wall subwoofer and sub amplifier like those pictured in the Amazon slideshow pictured at the bottom right of this page, you could install an entire 7.1 channel in-wall surround sound speaker system completely contained within your walls!
